02 / A POSSIBLE CONTEXT
What might the question have been?
An authority is approaching to inspect or direct affairs. How long will the favorable period last?
A possible setting
A leader, official, or force draws near a settlement. People may welcome the arrival yet worry about prolonged supervision or a change of season.
How the words respond
The judgment is favorable for the present but warns of danger in the eighth month. The lines distinguish shared approach, flattering approach, direct arrival, informed oversight, and generous supervision. The manner and timing of the arrival matter.
The warning about the eighth month gives this consultation an explicit time horizon, even though its calendrical interpretation is debated.
This scenario adapts the Chinese edition's historical reading. It is a possible reconstruction, not an established single event or the only interpretation.
